I was so excited to get my blog book today. It makes all those hours of blogging worth it and I'm feeling pretty good now that I can say (for the first time in my life!) that all my journaling and scrapbooking are up to date! Yay! The program is easy to use, and check out the cute backgrounds.... So for those of you bloggers who haven't looked into it yet, I would highly recommend it. Just go to blurb.com and get started--today.

Oh, my! It looks soo good! I am so impressed! Do you just love it? Anything you would do differently or that I should definately make sure to do? So funny, my friend Natalie have both been waiting for the other one to do one first...so we can see what they look like! Now I want to see your book in person, if you'll let me take a look! Love those layouts! Who needs scrapbooking anymore??? Seriously! It looks awesome!
That is so neat. Sure beats scrap booking for millions of hours. It looks better than anything I would be able to do. Seriously it is really cute and I am so going to look into doing it. You might get a call from me asking how you did it.
That looks beautiful Jame! Did they get new layouts, the one I have been doing isn't quite as fancy. Maybe I need to update! I can't wait to be done! Thanks for sharing, it makes all the hard work not seem so bad after getting a sneak peek at what is to come!
Yes, they do have new layouts. Mine just updated to the newer version automatically while I was in the process of working on it, but I would contact customer support if you don't have the newer version. It has more options for backgrounds, borders and little ornament things on the top and bottom of the pages. As for recommendations, next time I wouldn't have done the really tiny pictures, they're too hard to see. I thought the quality was great and looks pretty professional. Plus I did 185 pages for $48 ($57 with shipping) and I know that I couldn't even print out all 650 pictures that I had, not to mention the scrapooking materials...so I am totally sold! And Angie, you'll definately have to take a look at it, maybe I can bring it to the next meeting or something.
Oh wow. That is awesome. And what a good price!
I've been dying to hear about this book. I am going to check it out. Yay!!!
Jamie! You have to tell me what website you used! Looks wonderful!!!!
Wowie, wow, wow!!! I was just wondering today if you had gotten it yet. It looks SO amazing. Definitely makes the millions of hours spent on all this blog stuff worth it. I LOVE the cordinated pages. It almost makes me want to go back and change all mine. If only my computer wasn't so darn slow. I don't know your's really looks so good. It is tempting. Anyway, it looks awesome!!! Thanks for sharing!
Brooke, the website is www.blurb.com, good luck! And Janess, the backgrounds are so fun but I also have witnessed how stinkin slow your computer is. Is it slow when you're just changing the background?
I have been so frustrated with Blurb, I'm gonna need you to come hold my hand & walk me thru the first page or 20 :) Some of my blog posts have a random amount of pictures, some horizontal & some vertical & I just couldn't find the perfect layout..am I retarded?
I love the idea of the book and it turned out so cute. Since I don't post that much, it will take me forever to get even 48 pages worth, but I love the idea.
I can't wait to start mine. I am so excited! I am SO over scrapbooking :)
How awesome! What a great idea! I'll definatly check it out. Yours looks really good.
Wow, how cute is that! I didn't even know that was possible!!
Jamie - I'm really glad you blog so much because since i am no longer motivated to be a good teacher, i spend my whole prep period reading everyone's blogs. anyways, i looooooove your book. it looks great! i just bought a package to make a book online too. its so much easier than scrapbooking by hand. how much was it?
That looks so awesome! I'm impressed you have yours done already. I started mine a week ago and haven't made time for it since. I need a nanny for a week so I can get it done!
It looks so great. I would love to see it in person also. I will have to get on line and check it out. Great job!!
Ohhhh....I am so doing this!
What a great feeling. I am not a scrapbooker, so I NEED to do this! Looks like it turned out great!
I have been waiting to see someone else too. My sister prints hers out every year and uses different companies and processes every year. I wanna see it to. Have a blog-book-look party. I'll bring the treats!
Jamie- AMAZING! That's all I can say. I need to get started on that. So honestly how long have you been working on it and how many hours have you put into the book alone?
Nicole- I would definately look into this site, it's the cheapest I've seen and I thought it turned out great. You don't have to do just a blog book, you can do any kind you want. As for the price, it was $57 with shipping for 185 pages. We also made an anniversary one for my parents that was $35 for 85 pages (it's free to get started too, you don't have to buy a kit)
Tara-There is an option to have the program automatically put all the pictures and text in the book and wahlah it's all done, but every page has the same back ground and the same template, so I preferred to go through and do one page at a time. That did take a while, but it was worth it to me because I think that it looks better. I think it's easier if you just update your book as you post each entry. Good luck, it's so worth it! And, yes, anyone who wants to see it is more than welcome too!
I love it!!! I was about one post away from finishing mine and you've totally motivated me to go finish it right now. It looks awesome!!!
Amazing! I can't wait to see it1
