Skimpy on the Snow

Snow is such a novelty for us and when we bought the condo I had dreams of frolicking in the woods catching snowflakes. The only problem is that it has been so unseasonably warm, there has only been a few skiffs of snow here and there where as in the past when we've come up to go snowboarding it has been a winter wonderland. Seriously bummed about it! The ski resort didn't even open up all their lifts this year. And without the draw of snow we haven't had as much luck renting our condo out as we were hoping. But we did make it up for Martin Luther King day and made the most of it!

The boys were happy as can be just playing on the tiny patch on the front walk

It was so fun having the whole family on the mountain again. This time Ryder even graduated from the bunny slope and we were able to all ride the big lift together and it was so cool being up on top of the mountain together, definitely a moment.

Jason still went on his guy's boarding trip to Utah then he took Jayden and his friend to Flagstaff for the day. Even though we didn't get much snow, we still made the most of what we got!

Winter Break

It was our turn to watch Troy's kids for our babysitting swap while they went to California for a few days. The kids were so excited to have their cousins stay and we filled the days with picnics in the park, KTR, crafts, movie parties, dollar store, games and just hanging out. I didn't get too many pictures, but here they are making rainbow slime.

Jason got some zoo tickets from work so I took the boys one day, Kylie had already started school (it is such a pain that their breaks aren't the same). Jayden was not a fan and made it clear that he was the oldest kid there. I just enjoyed spending a beautiful day out with them. So those are just a few highlights from the break that I managed to take pictures of, but it was a good one!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, 3 1/2 months late! This is the longest I've gone without blogging and I've missed it! And I have so much catching up to do. I made myself finish up our 2017 blog book before I started 2018 and I just ordered it and can't wait to get it. It's a lot of work, but so priceless to be able to look back on all of these memories. So we rung in 2018 with family and friends. Troy's family was staying with us and we had Tyson's family over as well. Kylie was hanging out with friends and we tried to act totally nonchalant when they decided to all just hang out at our house (inside we were screaming WE.HAVE.THE.COOL.HOUSE!). We played games, had a dance party where Kylie and Tyler's dancing were the main stage entertainment. But what made tonight extra special was that KYLIE GOT HER FIRST KISS! It was so romantic, under the fireworks on New Years. And sitting cross legged on the floor of her room giggling with her friend while she told us all about it was pretty much the moment I had been dreaming of since the day she was born. I seriously love this girl so much and the relationship I have with her. So I would say it was a pretty great way to start off the year! Happy New Year and here's hoping for happy things from here on out!
