We love Mr. Dave

On Christmas Eve we got a knock on our door and were surprised to see Jayden's sweet little bus driver there with a gift for him. On Christmas morning he was so excited to open the present and find these cute school bus book ends that I think he may have hand made. How cute is that?!? We were so sad because he told us that he didn't pass his physical so he can't drive his bus anymore. He is still able to ride along as an assistant sometimes, though. I think this world could use some more sweet old men like Mr. Dave!

That is the sweetest thing! Seriously, so cute for him to make those. He will always remember the little yellow bus and Mr. Dave, someone who probably gets forgotten a lot! Too bad he spelled his name wrong! Oh well, it adds character right? I love it!

That's funny that you noticed the name, I wasn't sure if I should try and fix it but you're right, it does give it character. I'm feeling kind of guilty since all Jayden gave him was some oreo suckers that we made. It's the thought that counts, right??

That is so sweet. That's sad that he can't drive the bus anymore. If he's out on Christmas Eve delivering home made gifts to the kids that ride his bus, it must be an important part of his life. I'm sure he loved the Oreo suckers. You're right we need more Mr. Dave's in the world.

Oh my gosh- that is the sweetest thing ever, that made me want to cry! How thoughtful! and how SAD that he didn't 'pass his physical' what a SWEETHEART! And he even customized it with his name!! What a guy! Did he do that for all the kids!??

I know, he's amazing, I just want to kiss him. I would like to think that he just did it for Jayden because he's the favorite, but I'm pretty sure he did it for all the kids :) I remember Mandy told me that he made something for Daxton back when he rode his bus. Love the guy!

AWWW... he is such a great man. He did make Daxton a present last year. It was a school bus with hooks to hang stuff on. Isn't it nice when our kids come in contact with people who actually CARE?
Way to go, Mr. Dave!
