Happy V-day!

I was sad that I didn't get to spend much time with my "Valentine" on Valentine's Day, but I did have fun with the kids. After a breakfast of heart shaped stuffed french toast (yum!) Jayden and I went to the Valentine's party at the preschool where I teach. He scored and got to go to another party at his other preschool while I got to go and help out at Kylie's classroom party. She was so cute and I love that she gets so excited everytime I come to her class. I'm going to be so sad when she outgrows that! It was a fun day and it was cute to watch the kids get so excited about exchanging valentines with their friends (although Jayden was a little disappointed to get princess valentines from the girls in his class, so he gave those to Kylie). Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to spend much time with Jason on the big day. He brought home a heart shaped pizza for dinner for the kids while I helped my friend cater at a wedding, which was actually a lot of fun. I didn't get back until really late and was sad that I missed the pizza, it's a tradition that he's done since the days of "5 Buck" pizza at Provo when we were first married. We did get a chance to go out and celebrate this weekend with some friends at a comedy club. It was an improv comedy place that is run by some LDS guys so it was clean and a lot of fun (Chelsea, I never realized how tall Jeremy is until I saw this picture, wow! I love the guy standing on his tip-toes behind him just so he can peek his face over his shoulder!). It was definately nice doing something different for our date night besides dinner and Wal-mart! :) Thanks, Alisa for planning it! Jason was sweet and got me a shelf that I've been wanting for the entry way. I know that doesn't sound romantic, but I'm not much of a flowers girl. I'd rather spend the money on something that lasts longer than 2 days. I gave Jason money for new snowboarding boots since he's getting all geared up for his big boys trip. It's hard to believe we've spent 9 Valentine's together. Our first V-day together we spent with some friends in Vegas. It was so romantic, he took me up to this mountain overlooking the lights on the strip. I was expecting a diamond ring, instead I got a frying pan and back massager. It's amazing to see how much our lives have changed since then. I love you, Jay and thanks for making me feel special every day!

Holy GIANT! who is that large man standing so close to me! I swear he's not that big in real life? right? Anyway, yes it was way fun & a unique date for sure! Yay for the shelf! I totally hate when Jer wastes money on roses, I just think of all the things I would rather have for $40 that dont wither away!

I totally agree on not being a flowers girl...so I'm glad that I'm not the only girl in the whole entire world who feels that way. They die too quickly and then you have nothing to show for it! So I totally think that the shelf you've been wanting is a very cute gift...sure beat a frying pan and massager, right? That's too funny!

Glad you guys had lots of Valentine's fun. So, do you feel fulfilled now that you've experienced a class party as the mother? Lucky Jayden with two parties! That comedy club sounds like so much fun. We'll have to have an adult night out next time we visit you and check it out. Or maybe we could just MOVE down there and go out together all the time. We'll keep our fingers crossed:) I want to see pictures of your shelf. What a great gift!

We totally did the heart shaped pizza in Provo! I loved that! Where did he find one, is there 5 buck pizza in AZ? Anyway, looks like you guys had a great V-Day, I am SO glad you got a date away from Home Depot and Wal-Mart. I am very proud of you guys! Thanks to Alisa from me too!

That is too funny, Jodee! Actually Papa Murphey's makes it. Did you guys ever hit up the good old "Sounds EZ Pizza" in Provoland as well?

Looks like a blast! JESTERZ is my favorite laugh spot and great EVERY time. About the empty fridge, is that how you stay so skinny?

sounds like a fun night :) I am totally a flowers girl. What is sweeter than spending a ton of money on something that is only going to last two days, just to suprise me :)

Never heard of "Sounds EZ" pizza! More like "sounds creepy" to me! What is that place?

Jodee, you almost nailed it with the name, we used to call it "Sounds Sleazy". It was this place where you could get pizza, drinks and a movie rental for dirt cheap. It was great, but a little on the ghetto side. One time I thought they ripped me off $10, so I made them give it back to me. A week later I found the $10 in my car so I went to give it back to them and they had gone out of business! Jason still gives me a hard time and says that I put them out of business b/c of $10.
Wes and Suni-I agree, flowers are nice, just not when it's expected. I would be happy if he surprised me with them any other day.
Rachel-I can't believe you can even tell that I have open toed shoes on. That is definately a sign of winteritis!

Those comedy clubs are soooo fun! Glad you all had a great time! I can relate to the empty fridge too...I think I'll make the trip to Walmart today! I had to make Ty a sandwich for breakfast this morning.

Yea!! I haven't thought about "Sounds Sleazy" in SO long! That was the scariest place ever, and I'm sure if I ate there now I would get sick from all the grease. Nice and cheap, though. What a fun night!
