Maddox has struggled with friends this year, it has been so hard on both of us. So when he came home from school and announced that he invited some kids form his class over in a half hour for an epic nerf war, I dropped everything and was like, I'll pop popcorn! Do they want to stay for pizza? Who wants to go on a golf card ride? Xbox is upstairs! You know, trying to be the cool mom so they'll want to come back. And they have wanted to come back, but it's not because of me, it's because Maddox is a pretty cool kid. So proud of him for stepping out of his comfort zone and putting himself out there. He has such a big heart and it makes me so happy when others recognize that as well! Here's to many more epic nerf wars in the future!
