My New Zealand bucket list is a mile long, as you would imagine one's New Zealand bucket list would be. Some are big things, some are small, some are local and some are far, but my goal is to leave here with as few regrets as possible (of course I have a second dream bucket list for when Jason and I come back with no kids and more money). I love going through the list on the weekends and picking an outing. Today was a Sunday picnic and kite flying at Victoria park in the port hills after church. The view was beautiful and the wind was perfect for flying kites (but not perfect for a picnic). Most of the pics I took were of Kylie, because while the other kids foolishly played at the playground, she was the smart one who hung out with me and got to eat all the peanut butter popcorn and chocolate. A picnic just wouldn't be a picnic with out PB popcorn and chocolate, am I right or am I right?
While we were up there we figured we better drive around and we were rewarded handsomely with the views. The kids thought we were going to die since the roads were so narrow and there were no guard rails protecting against the sheer drop off and certain death. I wasn't worried about us, it was the bikers flying around those curves that I was nervous about. Welp, one down and 567 more items on the list to go.

Jamie,
As per usual, the photos are gorgeous and jealous-making! I'm so glad that the first move for the kids is a beautiful and adventurous one (it'll set them up as adventurers for life if I'm not much mistaken!).
Wishing you a great week, Pilot A ;-)
This is amazing and gorgeous and dreamy and all but...Peanut butter popcorn and chocolate?!?! I'm SOLD!
Peanut butter popcorn?? Do share! Is that a recipe?? If so, I would love you forever were I to open up my inbox and find that in there. I'm making a mental note to have a Sunday picnic. In about a month (or two!) when the AZ furnace subsides.
What a perfect little Sunday jaunt. Okay, it was more then just a jaunt, but it seemed like the word that needed to be used. Do you ever look at where you live and think, "Sure, I love in paradise". Or is it still like, "Oh wow, this is amazing! Am I really here?!" Gauging by the pictures, I'm guessing it's still amazing:) That's the perfect kite to fly there. Picture perfect in fact! Oh, and please do pass that popcorn recipe along! Yum! Who needs a playground!
Ok 3 votes now...you need to post that popcorn recipe! These pictures are to die for! I can't wait to see them all framed in your house when you get back. Miss ya!
I'm convinced you are the only people around for miles! Or at least appreciating NZ in its full and glorious beauty. Gorgeous pictures as always! and I need a facetime soon!
My soul aches for Sunday kite flying and picnics. You just can't do that in AZ.
