So yeah, January...
January brought some record highs. Nobody was complaining.
January found Kylie getting in touch with her inner Martha and baking her first ever banana bread with zero help from mom. And it was delicious. And she cleaned up after herself. This could be the start of a beautiful thing.
January stole my beautiful view out of the kitchen window. Doing dishes isn't quite as enjoyable anymore.
January brought another visit from the Strange Man from Las Vegas. He found his birthday mustache and discovered if he licks it then it will stick again. He wore it all day and even into the evening where after Tom Selleck requested chocolate chip cookies, our very own Alex Trebek accompanied us to Jason's work dinner.
January revolved around dance, but of course every month revolves around dance for Kylie. She does continue to amaze me.
January found Jayden working on his swagger. He was hoping his matching clothes, bike and cut off gloves would attract the ladies. Always on the prowl, always on the prowl. I did like riding a few laps around the cul-de-sac discussing his female options with him.
January snuck in a few snuggles. I cranked up Pandora to get pumped for Monday cleaning day and Ryder reached up to dance with me, and for the entire Lumineers' "Ho Hey" song he snuggled up on my shoulder. It was the best 2 minutes and 42 seconds of my day.
January found these two buddies being as cute as ever. Except when Ryder is constantly hitting. Maddox is a lover and Ryder is a fighter, but they make it work. I was in the shower when Ryder woke up and I came in to find this. It totally makes up for when Ryder calls every strange man that we pass "dada". That can make for a few uncomfortable smiles and nods.
January STILL finds Gangnum Style completely entertaining, but only when it's my kids performing it. And Ryder's sideways shuffle that he does around the house all day long will never get old.
And January brought my favorite picture of all time. Ryder in the time out corner for hitting. Seriously, that little diaper bum and then when he peeks at me out of the corner of his eye with a sly little smile....just too much. January was good to us. And it's not even over.

I like to think that you and I live the same life, but in reality, you live the life I wish I lived....wood floors, kids that are getting along and baking bread, a tiny bum, you got it all!!!!
Your kids are just too cute. And cool in Jayden's case. Love it!
People always tell me I will miss my babies being so small but I have to say, there are many perks to kids growing up, especially girls!!! Looks like a pretty perfect January. Um...those shots of your little men in the crib reading books---LOVE
