Seven
I usually spend my birthday getting ready for Jayden's birthday but since I was too busy being a diva it was total crunch time on Jayden's big day. I scrounged through the pantry to find pancake mix for his birthday breakfast and was glad I happened to have enough juice left too. Kylie reminded me that we had decorated the kitchen for her birthday so I had to quick scramble to hang a banner, streamers and balloons while Jayden patiently (and not so patiently) was waiting in his bed for his breakfast to be delivered. The sad thing is, I didn't even wrap his presents. He didn't care because he already knew what they were since he picked them out himself. He was just excited to finally be able to put the lego sets together before heading off to school. Jason took the day off so he took donuts to the class and McDonald's for lunch while I tried to throw together his party for after school. The idea of 11 boys running through the house gave me anxiety, but it turned out to be such a fun party. Totally low key, swimming, water fights, sprinklers on the tramp, pizza and about a hundred water balloons. Such cute boys and such a fun day. I'm glad Jayden didn't notice that I had slacked off, that's one thing I love about this kid. He doesn't expect much and is easily pleased. It's so fun having him get older and see his personality shine through. I'm so proud of his hard work and determination and admire his confidence. I can tell he's going to accomplish alot in his life and I'm excited to be a part of it. Happy birthday, Jayden, we love you!!
you know this could only end one way....

Sounds like the perfect seven year old birthday. I'm glad you got to enjoy your day and then pulled off a great b-day for Jayden too. Another point for super mom! Happy birthday Jayden! We love you!!!
One line in particular jumped out at me...
"He doesn't expect much and is easily pleased."
Oh, what I would give!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Jayden. I think you did a great job of pulling off a super birthday for him. I love that he is totally cool with not having wrapped presents. I have always thought that wrapping was such a waste of time and paper! Smart kid.
