Canning buddy

The weather may not agree, but this tells me fall is here. With smells of this filling the house....

and these lining my shelves...

I am so ready for fall in every way, shape and form. After 3 years of peeling, slicing and cooking, I was sad that my canning buddy is moving away. Maddox filled in this time and although he was cute (and a little slobbery),

I don't think his canning skills are quite up to par.

But I have to give him credit for his dedication. He kept screaming at me whenever I tried to distract him and take his picture. It didn't end pretty when he chucked an apple at me.
Don't mind that it's a little blurry, I was more concerned about moving out of the way before getting beaned in the head then keeping the camera still. Despite his vicious throws, I think I'll let my little canning buddy stick around to keep things exciting. And because I kind of like him.

I can almost smell the apples from here. Yum! You are such a domestic diva. I'm so impressed! That has got to be the cutest little canning buddy I've ever seen. I love that he takes his job so seriously. There is work to do. No time for pictures! So, did he get you with the apple?

Canning is such a love/hate thing. So much work but you gotta love those jars that you labored over!! Good job!

we are SO on the same page with our love of tidy jars lined up on the shelves, my favorite thing! I am actually canning applesauce today too, my second time this season since it take SO many stinking apples to get one canner full!!! Hopefully Grace won't chuck any apples at me ;)
