Chi town weekend

My sister Janessa and I had been planning a weekend trip to Chicago for awhile now and the timing worked out perfect since my parents recently found out that they will be moving to Utah next week (yay!). We (my sisters and one of my sister-in-laws, Margaret) decided to have a girls night downtown and we had the best time. Girl talk till 3 AM then ALL day shopping and eating, could there be anything better?? I love these girls and I love how I can really be myself around them. my dad was so nice to drive 1 1/2 hr to pick me up at the airport and take me to the hotel so that I didn't have to take the train at 11:00 at night. Love that man.We had to go to the American Girl store for our girls (and for Margaret :)
Julene gives THE best back massages and it was especially nice after hauling our backpacks all over the city.

We laughed so hard at this picture! Julene captured the moment perfectly after waiting 45 min. for this amazing authentic Chicago style pizza. Look at that cheese, can you blame me?

The BEST cheesecake--The Grand Lux. After eating 10 lbs of mozzarella and cheesecake it was a good thing we walked all day long. We made quite the scene running through the streets with our huge backpacks to catch the train. We made it 5 minutes early, too bad for us that it left 10 minutes earlier than scheduled and we had to wait another hour and a half.taking the train back to Indiana to hang with the fam

After our FABULOUS time in Chicago we headed to my parent's house in Indiana where the fun kept on a comin'. With a graduation BBQ for my cute sister, Jessica (BYU here she comes! :), getting crafty with hair clips and playing my new favorite game: the Wal-mart game. It was so fun just hanging out. I'm so glad my family will be moving closer, but I'm going to miss cute preggo Jenz and Dylan who are going to school there and Tyler, Margaret and Shannon who are also sticking around until he finishes medical school in Des Moines. Hopefully these girls trips become an annual tradition because it was soooo fun! In true Jason fashion, the kids had a blast while I was gone...Chuck E Cheese, swimming all day every day, BBQ's....and I came home to a clean house and happy kids (they may not have bathed the entire time I was gone, but they did get fed :). Jason is so good to spoil me like that and I was glad to get back and see all my babies.

In typical dad fashion, Tyler dressed Shannon in her swimsuit all day, thinking it was her clothes :) Business in the frontParty in the back. Extensions are fun for all ages.
I miss my Janess! She is my best friend and I miss being close to her. Texas is way too far away!!
late night chats on mom and dad's bed. I felt like I was just a kid living at home again. Thanks for such a fun weekend, love you guys!!
