We Do Not Heart Cats

We were so excited to put in a sand box for the kids, until it became the neighborhood litter box. Jason decided he wanted to do a garden instead, because what cat would want to poop in cow manure? Apparently every cat in the neighborhood. The kids had so much fun helping Jason put in the garden and I'm sooo excited to have fresh veggies and herbs. If only we could get the cats to stop fertilizing it. Jason's made it his personal quest to put an end to the poop with tarps, rocks, bad smelling powder stuff and a combination of all of the above. Now they are pooping on the tarp and the grass. The fun never ends. I'm sure the fresh garden tomatoes will make it all worth it, as long as they're not too contaminated!

Cats are not my friends either. That garden looks amazing, you guys have always been so good with that. I still remember your huge garden in Saratoga Springs. I can't wait to plant mine! Yay!

How fun! I wish we could do a garden this year. Nothing beats some fresh homegrown veggies. Good luck with the cat battle. If anybody can defeat the cats, Jason can!

Um YUCK!!! That is disgusting. I keep begging Nate to build a sandbox. Looks like he'll be needing to make a cover for it. Tomatoes sound great. Are you guys coming to Vegas soon?

Try slicing some oranges and scattering them around the garden. I can't remember where I read that, but I had the same problem with cats in my flower bed. I only had limes on hand, but it seemed to work! I think it's just citrus in general that keeps them at bay.

Please let me know if anything works! We have some cats next door that poop every night in this one corner of our yard and its disgusting. I seriously think it should be illegal to just let your cats roam around. Or it should at least be legal for us to shoot them if they're on our property...Can you tell how much I hate cats?

Cat poop is pretty close to cow poop...right?!??!?! Good luck with deterring those kitties. Maybe you could get a dog?
