Winter Recital
We bit the bullet this year and let Kylie start company dance. We've been reluctant in the past because it is such a huge commitment, you practically sell your soul and (entire pay check) to the studio, but it is something Kylie has worked hard to achieve. She has such a talent and passion for dance and it is rewarding to see her do something she loves and do it well. She spends about 20 hours a week in the studio, but still manages to get up at 5:30 every morning for zero hour and maintain A's and B's (and a healthy dose of social media and Vampire Diaries mixed in there too). I admire her hard work and the way she manages her time. They have been focusing on their dances for competition which start up in a few months, but made time to choreograph a few for their winter showcase. I was too nervous to take pictures or video on her first dance because I didn't want to cause a distraction, but then we said screw it and recorded the rest. The pictures are blurry, I couldn't get the settings right, but I wanted to document this night because it made Jason and I so proud to see her. Love this beautiful girl of ours.

Dance is amazing. I'm so glad she found this passion, and you two are there to support and encourage her. Whether or not she pursues it to the end, it will shape her (figuratively and quite literally) for life. Well done, beautiful parents - and daughter of course.
