Maiden Voyage

Searching Craigslist for a boat had become a full time job for Jason. Since even before we moved back from NZ he would spend his free time looking for the best deal. Friday night movie nights in bed were a little lonely as he was in a trance on his phone while I watched them alone. He looked at dozens, even driving as far as Havasu City, test drove a few and came so close to buying a couple but nothing ever worked out. It was getting ridiculous. We finally found the perfect boat for us. We were worried it would get sold if we didn't act on it so we bought it before getting it checked out and there were a few things we needed to get fixed up. We also underestimated the size of this beast and it took some really creative thinking, muscle power and rearranging both garages. Even with the collapsable tower it is still too tall to fit in the garage so we have to take it completely off. That first night trying to get it to fit was a little frustrating and at times we had buyers remorse. But once we hit the water for the first time we knew it was totally worth it. Can't wait to make more memories on this lake!

Your kids have very wonderful parents. Of this I am convinced :-). The pictures, as always, are beautiful. The words, as always, are clever and so easy to read. Your blog is an utter pleasure J!
