Grateful.
Where do I even start?? I am the luckiest gal to be blessed with so many amazing friends. They went above and waaaay beyond with the farewell party that they threw for us. We were blown away and walked away feeling so loved. I had a hard time falling asleep as I came down off my high from the night. I don't know how to even begin to say good bye, just grateful it's only temporary! These lovely ladies are the ultimate party planners. Everything was perfect, down to the very last chocolate covered cinnamon bear.
This girl was one of the very first people I met when we moved to AZ. We sat and snuggled our first born babies in nursery together since they were too scared to be left alone, and nine years later she is still one of my dearest friends. I'm going to go through serious monday phone call withdrawals. I'm not sure how I'm going to clean toilets without her to get me through my monday cleaning days. And I'm not sure if I'll ever find someone who will be willing to share a bed with me and my odd sleep walking/standing habit.
The scrapbook they made for us has become such a treasure. They filled it with photos and memories from everyone that came to the party and it brought tears to my eyes as I read it. Our time here has brought some of our most favorite memories and greatest friends.
I know! Can you even believe all the love put into every single detail?! So grateful for all that these girls did for us this night, but especially grateful for their friendship over the past 6 years. The girls trips, the phone calls, the baby-sitting swaps, the meals brought in, the words of advice, the girls nights, the minority dinners, the visiting teaching appointments, the birthday celebrations, the holidays spent together, the vacations, the rushing me to the hospital when I was in labor and so many countless acts of love and service. It's impossible to sum up in one paragraph what these girls have meant to me. They are not just friends, they have become family.
