Getting My Seasonal Fix

We were excited to leave our 89 degree temps and experience what fall and winter are really about. We had a couple of days of fall in Iowa with my sister where the kids were thrilled to play in the leaves (Kylie even brought home a collection to show her class what real fall leaves look like). (once again, I know it looks like Kylie is the favorite, but really Jayden was just not in picture taking mode)

We then got our fair dose of winter at my parent's home in Indiana where the kids saw snow for the first time in years. It was so fun, but I think one week of 30 degree temps is enough for me :)

(Jayden proclaiming his opinion of winter: "IT SOOOO COLD!")

Your posts make me laugh so hard. That is so great that you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family. It looks like you got your fair share of real winter weather but hopefully you can bear a little more and come visit us sometime. Kylie and Jayden are as cute as ever. I completely understand the whole picture thing. Girls are way more willing for picture time than boys.

Sounds like you guys had a real blast! It's always fun to see family and I'm with you on the 30 degree thing. Why do I live in Utah?

I bet you had so much fun with Janess over Thanksgiving. I haven't gotten online in a while and had fun reading all your posts. Your kids are growing up! Kylie looks so old and she is so pretty!

ps...One week in Indiana? It feels like a year huh? We spend a whole winter in Wisconsin and it felt like 10 years. I think I still have frostbite. Glad you had fun though but AZ rocks in the winter.

What kind of a camera do you have? No, really, Im obsessed with great cameras. I love the black and whites with a little color pop. Is that with photoshop that you did that with? See, I know very little but am so wanting to. TEACH ME! (enrichment???)

No, I wish I had a nice camera and I wish I had Photoshop, but I make do with what I've got...on the software that came with my camera it has a saturation scale in the edit mode. It lets me choose to do all black and white or just subtle hints of it, if that makes sense. I think it's pretty common, my other camera had it too but it took me a while to figure out what it was for.

As I was reading through your other posts I just realized that I never published a comment on this one. I had a written one when I read it several days ago. I was just about to publish it when Parker turned off the computer. Grrr! You know how long it takes my computer to get up and going again. When I got it on and running later, I forgot to come back and re-type my comment. Since I just spent a bit of time reading and commenting on your other two vacation posts, I think I've about maxed out on my computer time with happy kids, so here's a condeced version of my earlier comnent. I LOVE the pictures you got of your kids. They are such cuties. As I was looking at them Parker kept pointing at Kylie and saying "Ki-ee!" She was so sweet with him. He sure remembers her and misses her (and Jayden too!) I love that our kids love each other so much!
