A reason to celebrate

No parades. No fireworks. No watermelon. No family barbeques. And no warm summer night under the stars. Instead we dressed up in patriotic sweaters, went to McDonalds and shopped at Kmart. But I'm okay with that, because we just found out we got a house. A house that is far better than we ever hoped we would get. So you can keep your pinterest strawberries dipped in white chocolate and blue sprinkles, because tomorrow we're checking out of the Belle Bonne motel for good and that's all the reason I need to celebrate. A very Happy fourth of July indeed! {okay, but I really did miss all the festivities and got a little homesick, I'm just trying to pull up my big girl britches and make the most of it. I hope you lit a few sparklers for us!}

Nothing like a holiday celebrating the birth of your nation to make you feel a little homesick. I'm just glad there's a little part of you that would miss all of this and your wee little friends back home! I'm sure amid the beauty and excitement, it's hard to miss home too much!

Love the patriotic colors! Way to let your American shine through on the other side of the world. I thought about you guys and even talked about you with some of my friends. I MISS YOU! I would have lit some sparklers for you if they were legal. I ate some watermelon for you instead because I know that's your favorite:)
