Strawberry crepes, heart shaped bacon and pink hot chocolate breakfast, little gifts, heart attacked bedroom doors, special lunches, valentine boxes, fondue candle light dinnner...it was all fabulous and exhausting (pinterest sure puts a lot of pressure on us moms, geeze), but the best part of the day was my conversation with Jayden. He's told me about this girl that he likes and today he confessed she was his girlfriend. She just doesn't know it yet. He doesn't know her name and has never had a conversation with her, but she is the woman for him. I asked him what made him like her and he said, "I looked at her and I just knew I needed her in my life. And then I thought I should marry her." If that's not romantic, I don't know what is. He's going to make some lucky girl really happy some day. Happy Valentine's day to all my loves.
(Maddox insisted he needed a valentine's box box too, so he dumped out all the checks in this box, slapped on a lego logo and was happy as a clam to be matcheys with Gigi.)
I went in at midnight to check on the kids and I found Maddox like this with Jayden's Valentine's candy wrappers all over the floor. I don't know if I should be more concerned about the sugar that's been rotting his teeth away for the past 4 hours or that Jayden is going to be beyond ticked at him in the morning. The Valentine's bliss may be very short lived this year.
