Part III: The Cabin

This was the first time in 5 years that my whole family has been together at the same time and we definately made the most of it. My parents were so nice to rent a cabin up Cedar Mountain for the week and we had the best time hanging out. With 10 kids in the family it was hard to arrange schedules and it ended up that there was only one night that we were actually all together. The kids had the best time playing with their cousins and exploring the mountains, I hardly saw them at all the entire week. We filled the week with hiking trips, tons of cute crafts that my mom brought for the kids (pirate treasure maps and money, homemade bouncy balls, t-shirt painting, glasses, pearler beads....isn't she the best grandma??), late night games, campfire roasts, fishing, playing in the lake and catching frogs, girl parties, boy spy parties and Jayden's "club Zachary", a talent show (Janessa and I displayed our mad dancing skills from the church dance days, it was great), an un-birthday party for everyone, chipmunk traps (they actually caught several ones!), treasure hunts, tons of good food and tons of good laughs. It was seriously such a fun, relaxing and memorable week. Thanks so much again, mom and dad, we miss everyone already and can't wait for the next big reunion!

That looks like fun, I am sorry I missed my first honorary Jolley reunion. I am impressed with the chipmunk traps, those guys are fast! And I loved the mullet picture, so funny! You have a beautiful family Jame, your parents are amazing!!!

I've been anxiously awaiting this post. That probably sounds kind of silly since I was there. It was great to relive the fun as I read your post though. Good times! We've definately got to do that more often. Easier said then done though, right? It was so fun to be able to hang out and chat with you all week long. It seemed so natural. Ricky was sure glad to have a fellow son-in-law to hang out with and my kids had a blast playing with your kids! Your kids are so adorable. I loved spending time with them (well a little here and there when they weren't off playing). We savored every moment and are all sad that we don't live closer to you guys so that we can do it more often. We'll keep our fingers crossed for next year. You got some really great picts. Thanks for the ones that you emailed me. I think I have a few more requests. I'll email you about it later today. I love you tons and miss you guys like crazy!

Can I be a Jolley too? Seriously, what a fun family. That sounds like the best part of the trip. Your parents are so cute that theu did all that stuff with the kids. And your mom, blonde? after she so generously passed down the red locks to everyone in the fam? do we have a traitor in the midst?! Too bad you guys missed Alvin and the Chipmunks, it would have really hit close to home now!! I can't believe they caught some, I wouldve brought it home! cute!! Oh, and your mac and cheese was soooo good!! thanks so much! Although, Brayden wanted a bite, then demanded "a million more bites" so BOO! I had to share. Post the unrecipe pronto!

p.s. loved the mullet picture!
