Hoola Oh-la-la

I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera to our neighbor's b-day party. For her 10th b-day they rented out a room, decked it out in disco, hired a DJ and the kids had a hay day (yeah, good thing we're not worried about keeping up with the Jones' here-yikes!). I always knew that Jayden had some groovy moves, but man can that boy get down! He was going crazy on the dance floor and had everyone laughing. They had a dance off competition and he came in first place. His prize was one of those fish that swim in the water. He affectionately named it Zachary and he became his dance partner for the rest of the night. We also discovered Kylie's hidden talent with the hoola hoop. They had a hoola hoop contest and Kylie was so excited when she won. She hoola hooped the night away and the next morning she told me that her stomach hurt. I was so worried that she was getting sick, but we figured out that it wasn't that kind of hurt, she just had sore muscles from the major ab work out she got from the hula hoops! (Kylie cracks me up, she insists on wearing this "party dress" to every b-day party she goes to :)

Okay Jamie, where have I been?! Okay first thing, I love the pics in this post. Okay, who is this friend who had the party? Wow, Tayler just put together her own party this week and she had fun doing it all by herself! I was off the hook! WOOSH! (That is what happens when you have an eleven year old.) Okay and the last story is too funny! The Si part cracks me up! And I love, love your fake smile in that pic with all of the kids! You are so hilarious! I can't believe you got through that with the smile and all! You are a trooper and a really nice Mom for sure and yes the Caribbean water is totally worth it! Lucky!! Good to briefly see you the other day! Tayler was TOTALLY shocked when I told her that you were pregnant! She was like, "No way mom! You can't see it!" I am still getting used to a daughter that can talk to me on some what on an adult level! WEIRD! But too cute that she said that! Hope we can get together soon! =)

What a party! It sounds like your kiddos MADE the party. I'm sure the birthday girl was glad she had them on her invite list. That's a great action shot of Kylie with the hoola hoop. Where do your kids get their moves? Ha, ha! I've seen you get your groove on on the dance floor before :) I love her party dress! Is she going to bring it to the reunion? By the way, Abby was THRILLED to get that message from Kylie last night. She's been wanting to email her back but we've been gone all morning and now I'm hogging the computer. Ha! Anyway, great shot of Jayden and Zachary. You can tell it's true love. Where did the name Zachary come from? What a cutie!!! He'll have to show off his dance moves for us.

They are too cute! And it sounds like they stole the show at the b-day party! Maybe I should try Kylie's new ab workout, I will have to take the hoola-hoop to my next pilates class!

That is so cute about her dress, caus the first thing I thought of when your blog popped up was how cute her dress was. Hoola hooping is hard to do as little girls, she must be really good. Good for her.

So fun to read about all your family has been doing in the last while. I can't believe you watched so many kids & had to deal with throw up - how was it ONLY 10 loads of laundry? :)

Fun to hear you're having a boy. I remember how Kalissa was NOT excited to find out our 3rd was a boy. It just didn't make sense - it was turn for a girl! She ran to her room and cried on her bed when she found out, but she quickly decided that it would be ok.

Your "pregnancy moments" reminded me of when I was pregnant with Kalissa, I came home after work & vegged for a few minutes in front of the TV before going to get my hair cut. I got out to my car to go to my hair cut and realized I had grabbed the TV remote and put it in my pocket instead of my KEYS, and had locked myself out of my apartment. :)
