Changing Blogging As We Know It
Okay, my friend Mandy just told me about the BEST thing EVER (next to the blog, of course). If you go to www.blurb.com, you can turn your blog into a book! After all the work I put into this journal/scrapbook of a blog I can't wait to have it in a book for our family to enjoy for generations to come. And an added bonus is that it's CHEAP (but the quality looks good). It's like 300 pages for around $60! Anyways, thanks Mandy for this awesome site, I thought I'd pass on the good news to you fellow bloggers!

Jamie! why hello! we should both be in BED, but here we are. Ok, YES!!!! I was wondering about that! My friend Becky mentioned that you could get them published and bound, and I was going to get the info from her, but here it is. That makes me so happy! so then the pics will be in tact and everything?? MARVELOUS!!!!!! what a genious concept. Now this really WILL count as a journal for me, officially :) (since I knew I would be too lazy to burn to a disk, or print it all out).
That is AWESOME!!! Forget scrapbooking. Now I can journal anc scrapbook and have it to keep forever! You're always in the know about these cool things. Thanks for passing it along!
OK, I actually downloaded this and tried it a while ago and it didn't do very good. It couldn't read a lot of my images- the ones from picasa, other people's cameras, and even some of my own that I didn't do anything special to. I don't know, maybe if you always get your pictures from the same place and you use the same settings etc... it will be OK but for some reason like over half of my images were either blurry or not there at all. let me know if any of you have tried it and found the secret!
I am so glad you told me about this, Craig was just telling me last night that I needed to print my blog out if I was going to put so much work into it :)
Okay, Why didn't we think of this sooner? I am so excited about this! I love the 411's you give to all of us Jamie! Where would I be without the "blogster"? You are like the informer to us all! Totally cool!
Chapman family and others,
Half my pictures didn't transfer either. However, I've found that they're really easy to get off my computer, and they are better quality that way. I had some that did transfer, but when I put them in the book the image wasn't good enough to be as big as I wanted. If I re-uploaded them from my computer the image was much better.
Sometimes it also takes a minute for the picture to go from blurry to normal. Good Luck!
thx for all the info you guys. i'm definitely going to try it soon!
That's great news! Tell me how your turns out.
Jodee told us about this, nice find!
