Confessions

  • I used money out of Kylie's own piggy bank for the toothfairy because I had no cash
  • Maddox wakes up at 6:30AM, so I park him in front of the TV for like an hour (or two) while I go back to sleep (sometimes it's time for him to go down for his nap by the time I get out of bed. It's bad.)
  • If the kids went swimming that day I count it as their bath
  • I watch "Penguins of Madagascar" on Nick even when the kids aren't around because I think King Julien is HILARIOUS
  • Sometimes if the kids get a stain that won't come out on their favorite clothes I still let them wear it and act surprised like, "how did that get there??" if somebody says something
  • The "no TV on Sundays" rule starts only after we let them watch it all morning so that we can sleep in
  • I just cleaned my blinds and baseboards for the second time and we've been in our house for 3 years
  • I write things that I've already done on my to-do list just so I can mark it off

I feel better now that I've gotten that off my chest.

I am totally with you on most of those! Especially the to-do list thing, it does make me feel more productive, so I'm not givin it up!

I love all the "deep dark confessions". Makes me feel better about my dark side:) I don't even dare tell you how many times I've cleaned my blinds and baseboards since we've lived here for five years. I totally do the same thing with my to-do list. Ha, ha, ha!

Jamie- you are soooo stinkin hilarious! Either we are a lot alike (and totally crazy) or everybody is like that and just doesn't admit it! A)I have TOTALLY taken money from my kids' piggy banks once when I was in a pinch; B)I have NO IDEA what my kids do for the two hours before I wake up on Saturdays; C)What's wrong with a "swim" bath?; D)I seriously LAUGHED OUT LOUD about the stain and surprise routine- Guilty!; and E)I'm a list-a-holic and do the same thing.

Love it!

oh jame, you are SO bad! Seriously, who hasn't taken money out of their kids piggy bank? I even tell Madison to go get me some and I will pay her back...ya right! And I WISH I could sleep in while the kids watch tv, if I could, I would be totally guilty of that! you are too funny, If these are your dark secrets I think you're doing just fine!

You are hilarious! I have just caught up reading all your posts. How fun! Your kids are so cute and you guys stay busy and do lots of fun things! What decisions and choices we get to make for our kids! I say all the time my boys will hate me when they get older, but you do the best you can! Fun catching up on you guys!!!

thank you. I've been feeling like I'm a complete slacker lately. Thanks for keeping it real and making me feel a little better about my lack of motivation to do anything! Your blog is refreshing to read.

Jamie-
You totally crack me up! I love your posts...especially the one where you used money from her piggy bank cause you had no cash. I usually tell my kids the tooth fairy is broke so you better just hold onto your tooth for now...like she sent me a memo on how broke she was!! Kayli just rolls her eyes...or I say, "take the tooth to daddy's house cause he would want to see the tooth." And propping the little one in front of the TV is totally normal...I did it too!! We need sleep. I miss living next to you guys soooo much. You were the best neighbors ever!! Love, Kelli

You have a to do list?????? You are on top of things!!
I do the same things. I took Grayson's birthday money once and treated us to McDonalds because he said he wanted fries. Bad mom! I did pay him back.....
