We loved having a holiday bucket list over Christmas and decided to do an official bucket list for the summer as well. We did pretty good to get almost all of the activities checked off and it was a fun way to fill our summer. Kylie and Jayden have outgrown most of these things, and I'll be sad when I no longer have little ones at home that get excited about making homemade jam and playing in the rain. I know first hand that these days are fleeting and I'm holding tight to the few years I have left with them!

We went to the Mesa Riverview Park to check off "visit a new splash pad". I forget that in the heat of summer it is possible to even be too hot to go to a splash pad. I didn't have my swimsuit on, but every few minutes I went in the water in my clothes to cool off and I swear I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion just walking to the car. Thankfully Bass Pro shop was nearby so we went inside to cool off and play at the shooting range. We tried Joe's Italian Ice afterwards, the boys wanted plain ice cream, but that Strawberries & Cream Italian ice was so dreamy and totally hit the spot!

But all the locals know that the best ice cream is found at the Water & Ice store!

And we ended our last night of summer with a family water fight. The tradition spontaneously started last year and it was a fun way to say good bye to another fabulous summer. However, the water fight reached a dangerous level and it is still a mystery whether Jayden used pee water or yellow food coloring water during the fight. I hope we never find out. See you later summer, you were a good one!
